An F4 category tornado causes devastating losses in southern Moravia, Czech Republic

On 24.06.2021 an F4 strength tornado (characterised by a wind strength of >333 km/h and devastating damage) swiped trough southern Moravia in the Czech Republic. An unprecedented event for this region.

The tornado left behind a 26 km long and up to 0.7 km wide corridor of devastation, levelling buildings and extensively damaging the infrastructure and vegetation. Approximately 200 people were injured and 6 lost their life. Besides the immediate damages the destruction of infrastructure also resulted in regional power outages and complicated the access of emergency services.

Our local loss adjusters are on the spot, promptly assisting insurers in the claim handling and aiding the injured parties in the mitigation of their losses and further steps to restoration of their property.
